Overview
DXL is a mechanical (non-electrical) safety door bolt used to physically hold shut a guard fence door or gate. It has no electrical output on its own — its role is to provide the mechanical locking/positioning of the door, with mounting provisions to add a DAIDISIKE interlock switch (DX-W2, DX-W3, DX-D2, or DX-D3) for electrical guard monitoring. It ships in two body styles: DXL-A (zinc-alloy base/slide handle with stainless steel handle) and DXL-B (aluminum-alloy base/slide handle with stainless steel handle and plastic ball knob).
It is intended for machine builders, fence/guarding integrators, and automation cell designers who are assembling perimeter safety fences for robot cells, CNC/press lines, or other automated equipment and need a mechanical bolt that can be paired with an electrical interlock switch to form a complete guard-door locking assembly. The bolt accommodates door gaps from 1 to 10 mm, has 48 mm of bolt travel, and carries a rated mechanical life of 1,000,000 operations.

The DXL base has a pre-drilled mounting pattern that accepts DAIDISIKE's DX-W2, DX-W3, DX-D2, or DX-D3 interlock switches directly, so the bolt and interlock switch can be assembled into a single bolt-plus-interlock guard-locking unit without custom brackets or field drilling.
Purely mechanical — no power, no wiring
DXL has no electrical output; it operates entirely mechanically and requires no power supply or cabling of its own. Electrical guard monitoring is provided by the interlock switch mounted on it.
1-10mm door gap tolerance
The bolt mechanism accommodates door gaps from 1 to 10 mm, tolerating typical on-site fence and gate fabrication and installation variance without field modification.

Two body materials for different weight/handle needs
DXL-A uses a zinc-alloy base and slide with a stainless steel handle (0.6 kg); DXL-B uses an aluminum-alloy base and slide with a stainless steel handle and plastic ball knob. DXL-A-2 and DXL-A-1 differ in handle-rod length (106 mm vs 79 mm), giving installers a choice for reach/clearance around the gate frame.

How to Select
- Choose by base material: DXL-A has a zinc-alloy base (0.6 kg); DXL-B has an aluminum-alloy base. If body weight matters for your door construction, compare the two materials for your application.
- Choose handle-rod length (DXL-A only): DXL-A-1 has a 79 mm handle rod, DXL-A-2 has a longer 106 mm handle rod — pick A-2 when more reach or clearance around the gate frame is needed, A-1 for tighter spaces.
- Choose mounting-plate size (DXL-B only): DXL-B-1/B-2 use a 326 mm mounting plate, DXL-B-3 uses a 305/284 mm mounting plate — match to your gate-frame hole spacing to avoid field drilling.
- Decide whether you need an interlock switch: add a DX-W2, DX-W3, DX-D2, or DX-D3 interlock switch to DXL's pre-drilled mounting pattern if the guard door needs an electrical signal for a safety circuit; use DXL alone if only mechanical locking is required.
- Confirm door gap and stroke: verify the on-site door gap is within 1-10 mm and that the 48 mm bolt travel covers the door's opening/closing motion.

When NOT to specify the DXL — and what to use instead
The door needs an electrical door-closed signal on its own, without adding a separate switch.
Why not: DXL has no electrical output of its own -- it is a purely mechanical bolt.
Use instead: Mount a DX-W2, DX-W3, DX-D2, or DX-D3 interlock switch onto DXL's pre-drilled provision
The guard must be actively held shut and released under safety-controller logic (e.g. only after hazardous motion stops).
Why not: DXL is a manually operated mechanical bolt; it has no solenoid-driven lock/release and no published resistance-to-forced-opening rating tied to controller logic.
Use instead: DX-D6, DX-W2, DX-W3, or DX-W5 solenoid guard-locking switches, which provide a rated holding force and controller-driven release
The on-site door gap falls outside 1-10 mm.
Why not: DXL's bolt mechanism is rated to accommodate door gaps from 1 to 10 mm only.
Use instead: Verify and correct the door/frame fabrication tolerance, or consult the factory for a bolt suited to the actual gap
The specification needs a quantified holding force resisting forced entry.
Why not: DXL's published data covers door gap, bolt travel, and mechanical life, but no holding-force rating for resisting forced opening is stated, unlike the solenoid door locks in the range.
Use instead: DX-W2, DX-W3, or DX-W5, which publish a 1300 N holding force
DXL-B is being specified for a weight-critical installation.
Why not: DXL-B's weight is currently unconfirmed -- one internal source states 1.05 kg while the latest PDF states 0.95 kg, and this discrepancy has not yet been resolved with the factory.
Use instead: Confirm the exact weight with the factory before finalizing a weight-sensitive design
