Overview
DLD-50G belongs to DAIDISIKE's laser scanning lidar range and is classified as a 2D single-line, diffuse-remission measuring type scanner. It is intended for integrators who need contour or profile data from objects, materials, or moving equipment that cannot practically carry a reflective target.
Unlike single-point distance sensors, it rotates a single scan plane to build a distance profile across a cross-section on every revolution. Its diffuse-remission design reads distance directly from the natural, non-cooperative surface of the target, so no reflector, reflective tape, or corner-cube target needs to be installed.
Features & Benefits
No Reflector Required
As a diffuse-remission measuring type, the DLD-50G reads the return signal directly from the object's own surface reflectivity. This eliminates the installation and upkeep of reflector plates or cooperative targets on the target object.
Full Cross-Section Profile per Revolution
A single scanning line outputs the distance distribution across an entire plane on each rotation. This delivers far more scene information than a single-point distance sensor capturing the same instant.
Works on Non-Cooperative Objects
The reflector-free operating principle makes the DLD-50G applicable to bulk materials, moving vehicles, or irregular objects where mounting a cooperative target is impractical or impossible.
Compact Rotating-Head Design
Product photos show a compact enclosure with a rotating scan head assembly and a status indicator strip, consistent with a self-contained rotating 2D scanning lidar unit.

Models & Ordering Information
DLD-50G Series
How to Select
- DLD-50G is currently the only model listed for this series; no sub-variants for output type, range, or supply voltage are documented yet.
- The relationship between DLD-50G and DLD-50D (sister model vs. different-generation product) has not been confirmed by the factory, so no comparison is published between them.

When NOT to specify the DLD-50G — and what to use instead
Using DLD-50G as the protective sensor in a machine safety function to stop machinery and protect a person
Why not: No safety rating, no OSSD output and no certification is published for DLD-50G. Only its scan type (2D single-line) and its measuring principle (diffuse remission, no reflector required) are confirmed. A device with no published safety rating cannot be the protective device in a safety function.
Use instead: The DAIDISIKE ST27 Series Safety Laser Scanner — Type 3 / SIL 2 / Cat. 3 PL d, OSSD outputs, 3 m or 5 m protective field at 1.8% remission.
A project that requires a committed detection range or ranging accuracy
Why not: We do not publish a detection range, ranging accuracy or angular resolution for DLD-50G, because the factory has not confirmed them. We will not quote a number we cannot stand behind.
Use instead: Ask us for the missing figures before you specify this model, or use a model whose range and accuracy are published — DLD-50D (50 m @90% remission, plus or minus 20 mm) or DLD-100D (100 m @90% reflectivity, plus or minus 20 mm).
You need a specific output or interface type to integrate with a given controller
Why not: The output interface and communication protocol of DLD-50G are not documented in any source we hold.
Use instead: Confirm the interface with us before specifying, or choose a model with a published interface such as the Ethernet 100BASE-TX documented for DLD-50D and DLD-100D.
Outdoor, washdown or dusty deployment where an ingress rating is required
Why not: No IP rating is published for DLD-50G.
Use instead: Confirm the ingress rating with us before outdoor or washdown deployment, or use a model with a published IP67 rating such as DLD-50D or DLD-100D.
Deployment in an occupied space where the laser must be confirmed eye-safe under a recognised class
Why not: The laser wavelength, optical power and safety class of DLD-50G are not published.
Use instead: Request laser-class confirmation from us before deploying near people, or use a model with a published Class 1 905 nm source such as DLD-50D or DLD-100D.
Specifications we do not publish yet
We only publish a figure once we are confident it is true. The items below are still being validated through further testing and real-world customer feedback, so for now we would rather leave them open than guess. If one of them matters to your design, ask us for the latest validated status.
