Overview
DLD-100D is a single-line (2D) Time-of-Flight (TOF) LiDAR sensor from DAIDISIKE's DLD series. It emits a rotating laser beam and measures distance by time-of-flight, producing a 2D point-cloud scan of its surroundings. It is built for equipment integrators and system builders who need real-time obstacle detection, positioning reference, or intrusion and zone monitoring - such as AGV/AMR manufacturers, service robot developers, factory safety-zone integrators, perimeter security installers, and smart-traffic and parking system builders.
The sensor offers up to 100 m detection range at 90% target reflectivity (40 m at 10% reflectivity), with ranging accuracy of ±20 mm overall and ±10 mm within the 0.1-15 m near range. It uses a 905 nm Class 1 eye-safe laser, supports selectable scan angle (280°/360°) and angular resolution (0.08°/0.16°/0.32°) across its DLD-100DH/DC/DP variants, and integrates multi-echo processing for reliable operation in dust, rain and fog. It is IP67-rated, measures 60 x 60 x 80 mm, weighs 250 g, and outputs data over a standard Ethernet 100BASE-TX interface, drawing a maximum of 3 W from a 9-36 V DC supply.

High-Accuracy Close-Range Measurement
Within the 0.1-15 m near-field range, ranging accuracy is ±10 mm, tighter than the ±20 mm full-range accuracy, useful for precision positioning and short-range obstacle profiling.
Multi-Echo Processing for Dust, Rain and Fog
Integrated multi-echo detection helps the sensor identify target objects more reliably when the beam path is partially obscured by airborne particles or precipitation.
Compact IP67 Housing
Sealed against dust and temporary immersion, the 60 x 60 x 80 mm, 250 g housing is compact and light enough for mounting on mobile platforms such as AGVs and service robots without a major payload penalty.
Wide Power Input, Low Power Draw

How to Select
- Choose DLD-100DC for full 360° coverage, such as pole-mounted omnidirectional obstacle avoidance or 360° perimeter monitoring.
- Choose DLD-100DH for a 280° sector scan with a flexible trade-off between resolution and scan frequency, such as wall-mounted or side-mounted installations that do not need full coverage.
- Choose DLD-100DP for the highest 100 Hz scan frequency with a fixed 0.32° resolution, such as high-speed target detection or vehicle pass-through detection where refresh rate matters more than angular resolution.
- For applications needing higher angular resolution (0.08°) to detect smaller distant targets, select the 0.08° setting on DLD-100DH/DLD-100DC and accept the lower 25 Hz frequency; for a faster refresh rate, choose the higher 50 Hz setting or a coarser 0.16°/0.32° resolution.
- Detection range (100 m at 90% reflectivity / 40 m at 10% reflectivity), ranging accuracy (±20 mm, ±10 mm within 0.1-15 m), power supply (9-36 V DC), interface (Ethernet 100BASE-TX), protection rating (IP67), dimensions (60 x 60 x 80 mm) and weight (250 g) are identical across all three variants.

When NOT to specify the DLD-100D — and what to use instead
Using DLD-100D as the protective sensor in a machine safety function
Why not: DLD-100D publishes no Type (IEC 61496), SIL (IEC 61508) or Category/PL (ISO 13849) rating, and its only documented interface is Ethernet 100BASE-TX — there is no OSSD safety output. It is a measurement and perception LiDAR, not electro-sensitive protective equipment.
Use instead: The DAIDISIKE ST27 Series Safety Laser Scanner — Type 3 / SIL 2 / Cat. 3 PL d, OSSD outputs, 3 m or 5 m protective field at 1.8% remission.
You need a hardwired NPN/PNP or relay signal into a PLC input or safety relay
Why not: The only data interface documented for DLD-100D is Ethernet 100BASE-TX. No NPN/PNP, relay or analog output is listed in its specifications.
Use instead: An Ethernet-to-I/O gateway to turn the point-cloud or zone data into a switching signal, or a DLD-series model with published discrete I/O such as DLD05A3 or DLD20A5.
Detecting a dark or low-reflectivity target beyond about 40 m, designing to the 100 m headline number
Why not: The 100 m figure is rated at 90% target reflectivity. On a 10% reflectivity target the documented range falls to 40 m — a 60 m difference that depends entirely on what the target is wearing or made of.
Use instead: Design the layout around the 40 m @10% reflectivity figure, and confirm the actual target reflectivity with us before specifying DLD-100D for long-range dark-target detection.
You need the finest 0.08 degree angular resolution and the fastest 100 Hz scan rate in the same unit
Why not: 0.08 degree resolution is documented only for DLD-100DH / DLD-100DC at the selectable 50/25 Hz rate. The 100 Hz rate is documented only for DLD-100DP, which is fixed at 0.32 degree resolution. The two cannot be had together in this series.
Use instead: DLD-100DH or DLD-100DC when resolution matters most; DLD-100DP when refresh rate matters most.
Site ambient temperature outside -10 to 55 degrees C
Why not: The documented operating temperature range is -10 to 55 degrees C. No wider-temperature operation is published.
Use instead: Verify site ambient against the rating before installation, or ask us about a wide-temperature variant.
Continuous submersion or high-pressure washdown
Why not: DLD-100D is rated IP67, which covers dust ingress and temporary immersion only. Continuous submersion and high-pressure jetting are not covered test conditions.
Use instead: Confirm the exact IP67 test depth and duration with us for washdown environments, or relocate the unit out of the wet zone.
