Product composition
The safety light curtain mainly consists of two parts, namely the emitter and the receiver. The transmitter emits infrared rays, which are received by the receiver to form a light curtain. When an object enters the light curtain, the light receiver responds immediately through the internal control circuit and controls the equipment (such as a punch) to stop or alarm to protect the operator. safety and ensure the normal and safe operation of the equipment.
There are multiple infrared transmitting tubes installed at equal intervals on one side of the light curtain, and the same number of infrared receiving tubes arranged in the same arrangement on the other side. Each infrared transmitting tube has a corresponding infrared receiving tube and is installed on the same straight line. . When there are no obstacles between the infrared transmitting tube and the infrared receiving tube on the same straight line, the modulated signal (light signal) emitted by the infrared transmitting tube can successfully reach the infrared receiving tube. After the infrared receiving tube receives the modulated signal, the corresponding internal circuit outputs a low level. However, in the presence of obstacles, the modulated signal (light signal) emitted by the infrared transmitting tube cannot reach the infrared receiving tube smoothly. At this time, the infrared receiving tube The tube cannot receive the modulation signal, and the corresponding internal circuit output is high level. When no object passes through the light curtain, the modulated signals (light signals) emitted by all infrared transmitting tubes can successfully reach the corresponding infrared receiving tube on the other side, causing all internal circuits to output low level. In this way, information about the presence or absence of an object can be detected by analyzing the internal circuit status.
Safety Light Curtain Selection Guide
Step 1: Determine the optical axis spacing (resolution) of the safety light curtain
1. It is necessary to consider the specific environment and operation of the operator. If the machine equipment is a paper cutter, the operator enters the dangerous area more frequently and is relatively close to the dangerous area, so accidents are easy to occur, so the optical axis spacing should be relatively small. Step 2: Choose the protection height of the light curtain
It should be determined according to the specific machine and equipment, and conclusions can be drawn based on actual measurements. Pay attention to the difference between the height of the safety light curtain and the protection height of the safety light curtain. Step 3: Select the light curtain’s anti-reflection distance

After determining the shooting distance, the length of the cable should also be considered.
Step 4: Determine the output type of the light curtain signal
It must be determined according to the signal output method of the safety light curtain. Some light curtains may not match the signals output by the machine equipment, which requires the use of a controller.
